The SOS Team (Safe Options Support) within Services for the UnderServed has known Nikole since April 2022, where she is employed as Case Manager. Nikole is a self- motivated individual, multitask-oriented, and able to work independently or collaboratively. Nikole is a team player and has the ability to handle multiple levels of responsibilities. Nikole is the true definition of a staff member who works tirelessly every day to ensure that the people we serve receive immediate access to safe, high-quality services and help others get back on their feet. She participated in the “Now Let’s Talk Podcast” after she was recognized by the host, who was impressed with Nikole’s client outreach efforts on an MTA bus.
Nikole works diligently in assisting her clients, to obtain stable housing; she is very proactive to follow up on the clients’ treatment in the shelter and provide them with the resources they need to maintain their housing, mental & physical health. Nikole is a strong advocate for the underserved and it shows that she genuinely cares, with how consistent she is with follow ups and learning about any and all available resources for our members. Nikole has helped her members graduate in a short amount of time. She has also supported various of her clients with vocational support, some of which work within Services for the UnderServed.
Nikole is one of those team members, who is very consistent with the time of duty and cooperative to any change that might occur in the schedule, to serve the members in needs. She is very creative and has a genuine passion for social service. She is definitely an #AboveAndBeyond person and staff member.
